Taronga Zoo

Dixons was contracted by Taronga Zoo to cut down, transport and install four ironbark canopies for the new Koala exhibit. The tree canopies were sourced from Llandilo with very specific features requested by the Zoo. Dixons had to ensure no damage occurred to the bark or fork junctions during transportation and lifting. Each load was transported on our float trailers in 9m lengths. With a 20t franna and our 20t city crane, the loads were mobiled through the Zoo during the night and lifted into their final position. Could not be happier with the result. I was so proud and impressed to watch our team work right through the night and to see the result exactly as we had planned.
