As August rolls in, Blue Mountains residents normally brace for the infamous North-westerlies that sweep through our region. This year, however, the August winds seem to have started even earlier than normal with storms blowing in from late July. We saw a higher-than-normal volume of emergency work requests come in during the most recent bout of winds. Our teams attended multiple sites with damaged homes, fallen trees blocking access and hazardous uprooting of trees.
