Protecting trees during any kind of garden renovation or earthworks is an important step for keeping them healthy and meeting environmental rules. At Dixon’s we’ve been involved in setting up tree protection sites across multiple projects. Offering tree protection services for construction and renovation works helps us preserve the local landscape and prevent unnecessary damage to mature trees.
It all starts with a tree assessment, where an arborist identifies key trees and sets up Tree Protection Zones (TPZs) around them to avoid damage to roots and branches. A plan is then put in place to fence off these areas, protect roots from being compacted, and wrap trunks to prevent machinery from causing harm.
Once the earthworks begin, the site is monitored to make sure everything stays on track. After the project, extra care like mulching and watering helps the trees recover. By following these steps, we can keep trees safe and thriving.
