Chipping and mulching Blue Mountains

Branches in, mulch out. Site cleared, no hassle

After tree removal, pruning or land clearing, you are left with a lot of timber and branches. Our commercial chippers process it all on site, so there is nothing to cart away and nothing left behind.

Waste processed, site cleared

What on-site chipping and mulching includes

Tree work generates a lot of green waste. Branches, offcuts and brush pile up fast, especially on larger jobs. Our commercial chippers reduce it all to quality mulch on your property, eliminating the need for skip bins or multiple truck loads. Here is what we bring to every chipping job.

  • On-site processing

Branches, brush and timber are chipped where they fall. No need to transport waste off site.

  • chipping equipment

    Commercial chipping equipment

Our whole-tree chippers handle large-diameter timber and high volumes that smaller machines cannot manage.

  • Quality mulch output

Chipped material is processed to a consistent size suitable for garden beds, paths or landscaping.

  • clean icon

    Clean sites

All material is either chipped into usable mulch or removed entirely. Your property is left tidy.

$50 million public liability insurance on every job. No exceptions.

  • waste handling

    Flexible waste handling

Keep the mulch for your garden, have it spread where you need it, or we remove it completely. Your call.

Commercial chippers, not garden shredders

From branches and vegetation to a clean site in minutes

Chipping is the mechanical processing of branches, brush and timber into wood chips using a commercial chipper. The chipper feeds material through a rotating drum or disc mechanism that reduces it to a consistent chip size. The resulting mulch can be used directly in garden beds, spread as ground cover, stockpiled for landscaping or removed from site entirely. It is the fastest and most practical way to deal with green waste from tree work.

Dixons Trees operates whole-tree chippers capable of processing large-diameter timber and high volumes across the Blue Mountains, Penrith, Hawkesbury, Western Sydney and the Central Coast. Whether you have a single tree’s worth of branches or an entire clearing project’s green waste, we chip and process everything on site as part of the job.

When green waste needs processing

When do you need chipping and mulching?

Chipping is not always a standalone job. It is often part of a larger project. Here are the most common situations where our chipping service comes in.

After tree removal

A large tree produces a surprising amount of waste. Branches, canopy material and smaller limbs need processing once the trunk is down. We chip everything on site as part of the removal, leaving you with usable mulch or a clean yard.

After pruning and maintenance

Even a routine prune on a few mature trees generates trailer loads of branches. Our chippers process the waste on your property in minutes, which means less disruption and no pile of branches left at the kerb.

Land clearing and site preparation

Clearing a block for construction produces large volumes of vegetation. We chip and process green waste on site, reducing the need for multiple truck movements and keeping your project on schedule.

Storm damage clean-up

Storms leave fallen branches and debris scattered across properties. We chip and clear storm waste efficiently, restoring access and tidying your property quickly.

Green waste stockpile reductionspace

Some properties accumulate piles of branches and garden waste over time. If you have a stockpile that has grown beyond what council pickup or a trailer run can handle, we bring commercial equipment and process the lot in a single visit.

Mulch production for landscaping

If you need mulch for garden beds, paths or erosion control, on-site chipping is the most cost-effective source. We chip material into the truck and tip it in a designated space on your property, ready for you to spread as needed.

Commercial capacity, residential access

We chip on site so you do not have to deal with the waste

Most of the chipping we do is part of a tree removal, pruning or clearing job. It is included in the scope of work and handled by the same crew on the same day. But we also take on standalone chipping jobs where a property has accumulated green waste that needs processing.

Our commercial chippers handle timber and branches that smaller equipment cannot touch. If you have a pile of green waste or an upcoming project that will generate a lot of material, we will come out, assess the volume and give you a clear price.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Yes. On-site chipping is a standard part of our tree removal, pruning and land clearing services. All branches and green waste are chipped and either left as mulch or removed from your property. You do not need to arrange chipping separately when we are doing the tree work.

In many cases, yes. We tip the mulch in a designated location of your choice on your property. However, depending on the material and site conditions, not all mulch may be suitable to retain. We discuss your preference before we start and let you know what is practical for your job.

Our commercial whole-tree chippers process large-diameter timber and high volumes. They handle everything from a single tree’s branches through to full land clearing waste. There is no job too large for our equipment.

Yes. If you have an existing pile of branches, storm debris or accumulated green waste on your property, we can come out with our chipper and process it in a single visit. We quote based on volume and site access.

Our commercial chippers handle branches and timber well beyond what residential or hire-grade equipment can manage. If you are unsure whether your material is suitable, send us photos and we will advise.

It depends on the volume. A single tree’s worth of branches takes minutes. A full land clearing project may take several hours. We give you an expected timeframe in the quote so you know what to plan for.

In most cases, yes. On-site chipping is faster, avoids multiple trailer or truck runs, reduces your disposal costs and produces usable mulch. It also reduces the environmental impact of transporting waste to landfill.
