A fallen or storm-damaged tree is stressful enough without chasing an unreliable contractor. Here is what we bring to every emergency job.
We prioritise dangerous, storm-damaged and fallen trees ahead of standard bookings, with after-hours call-out when you need it.
Storm-damaged trees are unpredictable. Our crew assesses the structural risk before anyone goes near the tree.
We can remove the immediate hazard first to make your property safe, then complete the full removal.

$50 million public liability insurance on every job. No exceptions.
Emergency tree removal is the urgent, controlled removal of trees that have failed, partly failed or become an immediate hazard after storms, high winds or structural damage. It often involves trees on or against buildings, fences, vehicles or power lines, and work that cannot wait for the standard quoting process.
Dixons Trees has handled storm damage and emergency tree work across the Blue Mountains, Penrith, Hawkesbury, Western Sydney and the Central Coast since 2009. We assess the hazard, make the site safe and remove the tree properly, then clean up so you can use your property again.

Some tree problems cannot wait. Here are the situations we are called out for.
A tree or large limb resting on your home needs immediate, careful removal. We rig and lower each section under control to avoid further damage to the structure.
Storms and saturated ground bring whole trees down. We clear fallen trees from driveways, yards, fences and access points so you can use your property again.
A tree can look intact from the ground but be cracked, split or partly uprooted. Our arborists assess whether it can be saved or needs to come down.
Partly attached limbs can fail without warning. We remove hung-up and broken branches before they cause injury or damage.
A fallen tree across your driveway or gate can leave you stuck. We clear access quickly so you can get in and out safely.
Storm-damaged trees often tangle with power lines. If a line is down or at risk, contact your network provider first for safety, then call us to remove the tree once the area is safe.
Most of the emergency work we do follows storms across the Blue Mountains and the Central Coast, where large trees come down on homes, fences and access roads. That is the work we are set up for, with our own trucks, chippers and rigging equipment ready to go.
We make the site safe, remove the tree under control and clean up. If your situation is going through insurance, we provide the photographs, arborist assessment and itemised quote your insurer or builder needs. If you are not sure whether your situation is covered, we will give you an honest view and the documentation to find out.

Our crew removes the hazard under control, clears the tree, chips the waste and leaves your property safe and tidy.
Yes. We prioritise dangerous, storm-damaged and fallen trees ahead of standard bookings, with after-hours call-out available. Call us and describe the situation, and we will get a qualified crew to you as soon as we can.
We prioritise emergencies and offer after-hours call-out. Actual response time depends on the situation, your location and current demand, which is higher during storm season. For a tree on a building or blocking access, call rather than email.
Make-safe works remove the immediate danger so your property is safe to be around. That might mean taking the weight off a damaged structure or removing a hanging limb. The full removal and clean-up can then follow.
If a power line is down or a tree is in contact with one, stay clear and contact your network provider first. Once the area is safe, we can remove the tree. We will advise on this when you call.
Emergency removal of an imminently dangerous tree is generally treated differently to planned removal. Many councils allow it without prior approval, but proper documentation matters. We assess this on site and advise you.
It often does, but it depends on your policy and the cause of the damage. We are not your insurer and cannot confirm cover. What we can do is provide the arborist assessment, photographs and itemised quote your insurer or insurance builder needs to assess the claim. See our insurance tree services for how we work with builders managing claims.
We chip the branches and remove all debris from your property. If you would like to keep timber for firewood, we are happy to arrange that. We discuss your preference before we start.
